Default Just got a new skimmer

Now to adjust it to get it dryer and lose those darn micro bubbles.

Thats just a seaclone .Those bubbles will go away in several hours.I always watched the top elbow .Close the air valve off open it slowly still there is a air pocket there .Close the air valve real slow still the air pocket has just went away.O the elbow is the one that goes over the tank the one closest to the pump. That is about the closest to a dry skim that you will get .

Thank you very much!!! Do you think this skimmer is good for a 10 gal. ( I know its bottom of the line but I figured with the size it should do well enough for a 10 ).

I've got it pretty close. It seems that as it runs longer I get less bubbles. It only went on yesterday. But if I cant get it I know who to ask. It will also be put in a sump as soon as I build one. That should help when the output is not directly in the display tank (right)????

Ya It will help in the sump .When u put it in the sump U will need the water level to stay the same all the time in the camber that the skimmer is in , and turn the skimmer out put to a tall wall so the water will hit the wall and slid down the wall.If u just put it in the sump it will make a terrible splashing noise ,and u don't want your friends to come over and look at this tank u have worked so hard on and ask " Why does it sound like a water fall"

See the skimmer in the bucket .Keeps the water level for the skimmer the same all the time and the water does not have far to fall so no splashing .

Here is another shot see the black box on the right .It is a float valve for a cattle trough
that I got at the farm supply and I made a auto top off with that .

Nice pics! After I build my sump I plan to do a top off system. I have some good plans and will hopefully be able to use my sister or neices digi to step by step them. I'd have a digi but I spend all my spare money on fish (Plus with three kids there's not alot of SPARE anything around here).
