    Default Led Color Spretrums

are there any advantages to adding some Cyan, Green, Red/Orange, Uv to the normal White/RB combo?

I think the red and green phase is a passing fad. The right White/Blue/ Royal Blue combo performs and looks great. I can't see how one or two sparsely distributed red and/or gree LEDs will make a difference.
Detroit's oldest large LED tank! Est'd Jan 2005, went LED June 2009. 6' wide 130g reef, Sunbrite T10 LED tubes (3xGen 3 and 1xGen 1), mostly SPS, but chalices, other LPS, and a few softies too.

I agree with pat. The RBG thing is slowly loosening it zeal. I run 454uv blues along with my AI sol super blues. I haven't seen any real difference in growth to say , but it does bring a little more pop to the colors.I still think the greatest advantages to LEDs boil down to cost of running the system and heat control. The biggest thing when using LED'sis the bulb and optics choices and the ability to control each one to achieve a combo that will work and please your eye at the same time!
