This is what I am looking at for the 45 gallon corner tank that is about 25 inches deep. The plan is to be able to keep almost anything. Please critique this light for me. I was going to build a canopy so I could put in a retro grade but I am a mechanic not a woodworker.
I am looking at this with the PFO mini pendant and the 10k evc bulb.
Will make you a good light as for as i can see
as repto stated the 14k lamp will be better if
your not going to have actinic supplement if
you or going to have supplement id go 10k
I understand that the DE is more direct and the SE is more spread out. If this is so would the SE be better or is the DE good enough to completely fill in the 22x22x13x13x13 footprint?
Thea both have good and bad points the DE is more concentrated
and will go deeper but gets hotter
The Se will spread out more wont penetrate as deep but runs
cooler.
Its just a personal thing but i like the SE for my on use
I just looked at the spectral plot for the EVC10k,its a very unusual bulb.Almost all MH bulbs are peaky across the plot, that bulb is one of the most balanced i've seen.It hits practically every wavelength/color.It also has good PAR on a M80 ballast, almost twice as much as the EVC14k.The bad news is its overall color(CCT)5700.It should look yellow according to that number.
