    Default too much light?

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I bought a 40g breeder tank for my hubby. ( he wants a lion fish in his own tank, lol) I have been thinking that since the 40 g breeder tank is only 17 in. tall it won't work. I have a 50G tall that I'm going to give him instead. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Now I want to put a rose anemone, 2 clowns, a fire fish, zoanthids and other softies in the 40g breeder. Since the tank is so shallow, will 175w MH be too much for the anemone? (I don't want to burn it or have it hide from the light) #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#This tank is an all glass tank.......does anyone know if it can be drilled? Bottom or back? #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Thanks,#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Angie#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Drilling the tank or having it drilled will depend on the glass itself, if it's a new AGA you might be able to find out if any of the glass is tempered. You don't want to see the results of trying to drill tempered glass, it's not pretty......

Think the 175w over the 40g tank should be just fine as far as light output, with a higher end reflector it would be great, I don't think you'd burn anything, a 250 with a wider dispersion reflector would likely be just fine too. Anything over 250 I'd be more concerned about heat.
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
