Gotta say, after the videos I have checked out- I am kinda leaning towords the eshopps, but the bubble magus is bigger, so I am unsure.....

Does the bubble plate make a big difference in a skimmer???

ya bubble plates do make a difference, good bubble plates break up the larger bubbles to finer ones which produce better skim mate

Just placed my order for the Bubble magus. After everything I have read- I cant really go wrong with either, for what I am looking to acheive. This skimmer will be skimming a 40 gallon mixed reef.

Might just go ahead and try my hand at producing my own bubble plate for the BM......Hmmmmm......
