    Default light is out

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I have a 2 x 96 watt aqualight. One of the bulbs will not light up at all. I tried a new bulb, but it still doesn't go on. Any idea of what it is and what to do?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#thanks#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

sounds like a bad conection.possibly at the end-caps.Try replacing the endcap,if it still doesn't work, try moving the pair of wires from the side that does work to the one your having problems with. That way you'll know if its a ballast issue of a high resistance connection issue.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#also, i can recall that before the lamp went out completely the bulb began to fade more and more utill it went out completely. does that give an indication that it is probobly the ballast?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#thanks for your help#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

that is a possibility that your ballast crapped out on you.

That will aso happen with a high resistance connection too, premature bulb failure is often because of that as well as poor ventilation. You'll know if its the ballast when you switch out the wires
