#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Yes you should and if you want to lower your phosphates afterwards, run your skimmer so it makes a wet skimmate instead of a dry foam. You'll empty it more often, but it will make a significant difference in GHA and cyano. Good luck!#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#KG#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
Huh? First of all, I was told that simply using kalk water would help bind the phosphate in a tank. I'd do that before some 'phosphate binder voodoo' sold by those Weissguys out there. Snake oil I tell ya!
Furthermore, I've been told that once the phosphate is bound (encapsulated atcually) it makes it easier to remove by skimming. Therefore, I'd think that you'd want to run your skimmer 24/7.
I certainly don't or didn't shut down my skimmer when I dripped Kalk..and that was the same process.
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#after the 72 hour treatment, i relly cant tellmuch difference, i didnt usemy skimmer, so i treated again, but with the skimmers runing, we will see, if this doesnt work then i will try something elese....#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#i found this ..some good reading #ed_op#A href="http://netclub.athiel.com/cyano/cyanos2.htm"#ed_cl#http://netclub.athiel.com/cyano/cyan...op#/DIV#ed_cl#
