    Default pumps and energy costs!

Gonna try and nail down my choice on my return pump(s) for the new 250gal and I have searched and searched for the most flow (gph) versus watts used. Anyone have any input on this? To turn my setup with approx. 300gal total water volume I feel I need around 8000 to 9000 gph. Too much? Will have 4 returns drilled into the tank. wanted to use 2 pumps and two SCWD units to give me a pretty good wave action. Any experience or suggestions would be greatly appreciated....wanna do it right the first time this time! :naka:

Here's a link to a chart in the reference section that has most of the pumps GPH rating and wattage comsumed. It's a little out of date since there have been some newer pumps on the market since i created it. My new favorite powerheads the seio's aren't yet on it.
