I have a 96w power compact quad lamp that I was thinking about putting over a 10g tank. Since the tank is only 10" from the top of the sandbed to the top of the tank, would it be enough light for sps corals or an anemone? I know halides are best, but I thought a 250w MH (the only spare MH I have laying around)was a little bit of an over kill on a 10g tank![]()
With the 96w pc quad, that's still over 9 watts per gallon. The halide would be 25 watts per gallon, and I just can't see that working without cooking everything. I know next to nothing about sps, but I want to try.
Thank you,
Angie
