I had a Stealth just take a dump on me.
I am able to control one heater using my controller, but I would like a back-up just in case.
The heater did fail in the off position and luckily the water had only dropped a couple degrees.

Thanks
i use stealth's they work good it is just better if you have a controller, the heat can never go over the desired temp unless the water is heated by your lights because it cuts the power to your heater if it goes over. also if it goes to low you can set an alarm to go off on most controllers so if it does fail in the off position it will sound an alarm letting you know that something is wrong. yeah controllers seem expensive but in the long run i don't know how i would manage without mine now. so much more fail safe and worry free.
