I have a 75 gal with a 20L gal sump about one-third of that is refugium. It is seperated into 4 compartments. 1) tank outflow, heater, carbon sack as necessary 2) small filter screen to remove particles the @8 lbs live rock and Chaeto. 3) small compartment for seaclone 150. out put of skimmer flows into compartment 2 to reduce bubbles. 4) pump back to tank(also use various for chem removal pads as necessary.
Hope that helps.
Both of my 120G tanks have something in the range of 30G sumps, with maybe 20G-25G of water in them. I don't have a skimmer in one of them and the other tank has an ASM G3.
120G Reef and 40B reef at work, 120G tank dry and dirty in the garage.
On the 180 we ran a 20g adn a 29g refuge and a 40g sump. On my 25 tall I have a 10g sump/fuge... now for the pair of 44's they each have 90g sump/refuges (took down the 180 and will be splitting it).
Ideally you want to increase the total water volume as much as possible, without having to do some ingenious plumbing go with what ever you can fit in the cabinet/stand.
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
10 gal tank no sump 100 gal skimmer
Does water always taste like salt and poo????
