I personally still like the T5. Aquatic life bulbs start crapping out around the 7-8 month mark.

You went from dull, old, middle of the road bulbs to new LED so yes you will get growth and color going.

I run ATI bulbs in all my vats. LED's look to harsh to me. I have other reasons.

Those were ATI's! They were about 5 months old. I know what your saying I felt the same way when I first got my Vega's but once I got them adjusted and started to get growth quickly after I added them I was hooked. I save my old light just in case but I think now it is safe to put them over a new frag tank I have in mind. A 30 gaklon long my wife is going to love that idea. I am mostly worried now about the long term effects of LED's?

Well color me purple !! I have been running LED's for over two years and on several diffrent systems. The only negative reaction I have had is turning them up to soon . I even have LEDs over my cheato chamber. Probably one of the best advances in the hobby since the protein skimmer. IMO. Good luck and post some pics in a few months to show that growth.
