the red turf algae is more like a hair agae or also known as cotton candy algae

the red turf algae is basically just cleaning up the excess nutrients and this would be where you would want to skim a little more aggressively maby cut back on lighting if you can and food supply all the normal methods of battling nuisance algae

Thanks to Slapshot's suggestion, I'm getting a hold on that red turf algae. I bought two tuxedo urchins (royal) and they're leaving a nice white rock in their wake. I mean white. I wonder if they're eating the coralline as well. I thought I read that somewhere, that they'll eat that too.
