Hi guys, I just installed an 11w uv sterilizer and the next day there was a big patch of a yellow/mustard colored film on the live rock and the overall color of the tank is a green/yellow look,haveing said that the water is very clear and the skim in the protien skimmer is very pale and not as dark as it has been,we have also had a couple of morph detatch from the rock and are now just floating around the tank ,I have turned of the uv till I find out what is going on

Wow,never heard of that before? I run two 57w uv's and have always ran UV for +20 years. Was this a new unit ? What unit is it ? Did you notice a temp swing ? Spikes in levels? The yellow film sounds diffren.
