do you have room outside of the tank to do an external skimmer if so i would say that would be your best bet most internals can be modded easly for external use

and with only a 4" space makes it very tight for most any quality skimmer to fit
I have been reefing from 08-2007 till 5-2011

reef tanks are like wifes you have to give them some attention every now and then

Sup Cook, glad to see you back around here.

I think we have the same sump? Anyway back when I was doing my research to upgrade my skimmer there were only a very few that would fit. Tunze makes one, E.T.S.S makes one, the ASM MiniG, which I have one for sale by the way!!
What I ended up doing is I just put a bigger skimmer the MSX 160, into the 2nd chamber. That way I didn't have to deal with cutting and moving baffle walls! I went this direction because I plan on having a high bio load soon and running a bac driven system. So an over sized skimmer was necessary!
