TRacy,I forgot to mention, although some LPS reject CE many still eat it.Seems some LPS use a form of Mucus capture. Here's a quote from the expert Eric Borneman
"That is a normal feeding behavior in the species..the formation of mucus nets and webs that trap particulates and are then sucked back in through ciliary action with attached trapped particles"

Cool! Thanks for the info! Where did you find it? (I am always adding good sources to my bookmark list) :-)

I'd recommend buying Eric Borneman's book "Aquarium Corals".It's my personal favorite in my library of books on corals/fish/reefkeeping.

Thanks! I have Fenner's "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist", and I love it! Do you have any other favorite books? I do need to add to my library... I can never have too many good books!

I have some old, outdated books on marine fish and a couple on marine invertebrae.I also have some coral books from authors i don't want to name.Although i like them, they only provide general info on corals.I'm more in to the biology/ecology aspect of corals so that why Eric B' is my favorite. It has information on coral biotopes, anatomy, taxonomy, and care of most all of the corals avaliable to the hobby. As well as pics w/detailed information(unlike most books, that have a small paragraph about general care)about each coral. There's also a few chapters outlining husbandry and 1 on coral disease.I'd recommend anyone keeping corals to buy this book over any other.
The one book i'd really like to add to my library is Veron's 3 volume edition "Corals of the World".Its a little $$ though, about $140 for the set.Eric's book is only $40 for the hardback edition
