It's easiest with an Inland wet saw. Aside from that a dremel with a diamond blade would be second best.
i've fragged a duncan a few times.
Rather the easiest thing to frag if you ask me.
I used a dremel with a diamond bit on it. I pick the thing i want to frag. I make a cut closest to the main base of the branch and the frag i want to cut.
I cut maybe half way through to minimize heat and any slip ups. than i take a flat head put it in the cut and give it a gentle twist and it pops right off. Always had 100% success like this.
I'm not really understanding here guys. All these heads appear to be coming from one stalk. How do I separate one head from another? Do I just cute in between them?
(no she's not illin just mad cause I made her close up for a better pic)
ive fragged mine several times but i wait till the heads grow farther apart . rather be safe then sorry you can cut yours but run the risk when they are that close. patients is the best thing.
yup cut between heads. my duncans grow the same way. there are the branching varieties that he is talking about that you can just grab and break with your hand if you wanted to.
not that i have done it but i just got a freshly fragged piece. wherever you would cut, try and make sure the head can retract as far as possible. one of mine got cut close it seems and isnt coming out all the way yet but it is living. the cut on the top of the piece was as close to the top polyp as it could be. you may be able to see it in the fd thread pic but if not i can get a pic when i come back this afternoon.
