Looking for a good small coral that will be good for a small pair of clowns

+1 on Sir P's suggestion of euphilias. A torch was my first thought. Probably looks most like an anenome.

And, another good choice - Duncans. My favorite corals. Not sure why I didn't think of them earlier. I can't say that I have seen a clown hosted in one, but I would expect that it is not out of the question.

Funny thing, I have ALL of the corals mentioned above in my tank. Anchor, torch, frogspawn, toadstool, duncan, etc AND a pair of clowns. Never seen them show any interest in ANY of the corals. What gives?

Me? No. I'd forget to feed my kids... I simply can't keep carnivores.

Another low cost choice for them to host in is a terra cotta flower pot. Mine love little caves...
You can build your rocks over them, or glue some rocks with zoas / mushrooms, whatever to them.

A neon green toadstool is a nice surrogate...colorful and easy.

Beautiful rics, Jim. I like the toadstool too, of course. But, seeing that pic makes me yearn for a ric (again). I have to solve the heat issues first...

Are you saying you might have extra? Just stocking 1st reef (29g) and looking for easy stuff, HV LED(55-3watt;50/50).
