My Blasto is Dying

Over the last 2 months my blastomusso is losing some of its larger polyps. They seem to be tearing from the side then shrinking and exposing the under skeleton. What is causing this? My water is at 78-80, nitrates 0, amonia 0, Ph 8.2. Any suggestions?

Chris whit kind of lighting do you have and water movement on the blasto?
i have 2 rocks of them and Thea seam to like good but not strong water movement. And strong lighting but not directly under metal halide.
After i first got them i had to move them around till i fond the perfect place for them

Blastos like slow to medium water movement and lower light levels. If you have it up high in the tank exposed to very bright lights I would move it down and into a shaded area. Also make sure nothing is stinging it, and a power head is not blasting it with a jet stream. Try feeding it a night with some brine shrimp. They are pretty good at rebounding. Dont give up on it. It will come back. Also you do not give an Alk reading I would monitor that and CA and pH more than anything else if your system has been running for a long time IMO.

I have it in a 24 gal Nano with the standard power compacts. It is low in the tank but in dieect light. The current is pretty good but not too strong. I'll try to move it to a different location.

Feed it and IMO/IME,keep S.G. at NSW levels(1.026)
