#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I was talking about this on another thread but i cant seem to find it!!?? Anyways, my candycane coral had one TINY head coming off of it and this morning i found it on the sand. Will this regenerate into a nother candycane of is it just going to die??? Also, if it is going to regenerate, should i frag it to a rock???#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

no such thing as a dumb question. yeah just put him some place he can grow in peace and he will do his thing. he will produce a little stem and gradually new heads will form.

it will take some time. just keep him in a safe place and give him some time and he should be allright. how big is the new offshoot about the size of an eraser??? that is about the size of mine. I have 2 little ones growing in a show tank and have another one that just dropped in one of my frag tanks.

yep just give them time and they will be just fine. the hard part is keeping them from getting lost or blown off the rocks.

Simple.... calcium. They pull calcium from the water column to build their skeleton.
