Default What do you think this is on my Hammer??

I recently upgraded my lighting and my Hammer is responding great, producing about 6 new baby heads. However, almost overnight 2 long white tentacles appeared from the stony section of the body. Someone told me it was probably new skeletal growth. I didn't have a photo with me at the time, so I thought I'd post one to confirm this. Thanks CR!

It might be those tube worms. Forgot what they are called. However it does not look like skeletal growth to me.

Have you seen the TV show "The Strain"? I'd watch out!

On the other hand, it could be just a sponge.

I haven't missed an episode of "The Strain"so far, lol. I'm a Del Toro fan! The growth is soft. I noticed that the growth had also attempted to anchor itself to the closest piece of rock. What should I do about this? I don't want anything to endanger the health of my Hammer, he just starting to take off.

I just took another pic to show the part that has attached itself to the nearby rock. I had just slightly adjusted the Hammer and the extension came of the rock, leaving a husk like shell on it. So far, I can't find anything like it online.c943ee07ce5147ccaf7a68910c2229f1 - What do you think this is on my Hammer??

Totally a sponge. There is no danger to the coral. Sponges are a good thing.
