Nice looking Pagoda Cup Bobby! I had a very healthy one, but it was when the 180g was still up, so needless to say, it was in the tank when we had to say goodbye to the 180. You know in a different post, I had mentioned that if you give something a chance when you think it's totally dead. All it takes is a cell to still be hanging in there. I kept any dead coral skeletons because I fell it gives it a natural reef look, especially if something decideds that it want's to grow on the old skeleton. My "dead" Pagoda is slowly but surely coming back to life. About a 1/4 of it is extending it's polyps, so I make sure it get's it's handfeeding of brine shrimp now, and my goal is to bring it all the way back to life. Wish me luck!
Have a Wonderful Day on the Reef!

Turbinaria peltata...
Can tolerate lower light as well as mod light.IME,It doesnt do well being blasted by intense light. This coral has a very dense skeleton,in fact, out of all the corals i've kept, its the heaviest/dense.Good,modereate current to keep detritus from settling in it is advised. It will often feed my mucuus web's capturing detritus and other food items.Very hardy but slow grower due to its extremely dense skeleton
i wish you all the luck with that pagoda Angel, as mine was also dying off and is now almost fully regrown at the dead area.
thanx David for all the insight on this coral. why do you never call me anymore ?? lol
BTW Angel, the purple cup coral in the pic with the blenny ... is the one that amost died on me a couple of months ago.
i have to thank DJ for helping me to save it. as posted above ... it has a little ways to go before being back to its former glory but i think it is doing remarkably well for the situation it was in back then !! so THANKS David !!
