Its a matter of using the right link. The "forum" share link on photobucket, I believe just creates a link back to photobucket. For the site to realize that you want to embed a file, the link needs to end with a file type. For example, .mp4, .avi, etc. But I agree youtube just has one type of share link which makes it the easiest.
