    Default South American Puffer help!

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Hey I need help ASAP with my south american striped puffer. I have had him about a month and everythin has been good. His water quaility was bad so I did a total water change (it what that bad) because he was acting weird that was a week ago. He started having ich really bad so I took him out of his brackish water and gave himfresh waterdip overnight in water from a tank that was established and had no problems. I put him into a new tank this morning with all the qualities normal except it was a little too hard. Right now I've watched the white spots turn into little brown lines on his belly also and behind his left fin is red. I'm most likly going to put him into freash water again because he seemed to act besst to that. But I really need help, I don't want me poor fish to die! sorry but I would not know how to deal wth this guy. I mean if its brackish water it may be the same with salt. I would set up a quarantine tank and medicate the tank. keep him in the tank for approx 5 weeks and then reintroduce him in the main tank. Are there anyother fish in the tank with him? If so you will want to keep a very close eye on them. Good luck Apache :D

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#No the poor guy is by himself. He seemed to get better I took everything out of his tank, except for a few shells and his bubble wand and treated it everyday with meliflex and did a 1/4 water change everyother day. I did this for a week and he got better. But today when I woke up he was basicly laying in the cornor with his tail curled up. I guess I'm going to start giving him more meliflex and see what happens. Also there was this mucus looking stuff in the cornor of the tank. I noticed that right before I put the active carbon back into his tank last night. Oh well, I hope the little guys makes it. I have way to many ghost shrimp in my tropical tank if he dosn't. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
