    Default clarki

    Reef_Angel,

I think it's all Clarkii clowns that are nuts. Mine tries to rip my hand off. Draws blood all of the time. She is the meanest fish ever. Part piranha I think. I don't even need to be near her anemone. When I get the 180 project done, she is out of here. (Along with her mate and their anemone.) I wont separate the family from the anemone. The breed like crazy. Every other week like clock work.

It's her fault the glass rarely gets cleaned. I can't get in there. She attacks the mag float too, lol. When I get the 180 going I'm getting a pair of True percs. and their anemone. Hopefully the anemone won't decide to settle dead center of the tank like this one did. Nothing can swim past without the clarkii chasing it. My poor chromis stay on the left side of the tank and the rest stay on the right side. The only fish that has free reign is the yellow tang. He can take food right of the anemone and the clowns don't seem to care. Don't know why. Guess the tangs just special.

Nearly all clown will react this way... they are just naturally territorial and aggressive(some more than others)... Percs are pretty cool in schools, too.
There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying

man.... Angie where'd your get your ESP? I need some like that. Or could you hear Angel cussing him out all the way over there while cleaning the tank y'day? That seems like it came WAY in from left field, but right into the strike zone.

I have a bit of insight knowing Clarkii loves to attack any hand in HIS side of the tank.... how'd you know?

But none the less I'd like to get 5-6 false perc's for the 180, think that would be sharp in, but alas still undecided, we'd may go more with agressive species, lionfish, eels and the like. Guess I gotta get some water in there first huh?

    Default Clarkii

ESP would be great, powerball is past 110 million. :-D BIG fish tank then. We could all swim in my ocean with 110 million.

Honestly, I believe Susan had mentioned in another post that her clown was psycho.
I just wanted to let her know that it's a clarkii thing. I think they are the meanest clown of all. Too bad considering they will host just about anything.

How big is yours? Mine is HUGE. Must be at least 5 inches if not more.

Our clarkii is the bully of the tank, but he never attacks me. He must know if he did I would be taking the tank apart to catch the little SOB. Also, it's not "my" fish so I have to keep him or someone would be very mad at me.
Just a girl trying to create a little bit of paradise on earth without killing it.

Angie, ah okay... must have missed something along the way. Our "Clarky" aka "**Censored** head" is about 2" long, so he's still young, but still a cranky little bugger, and if you really want to see him go nuts just reach towards his sabae, we picked them up together (sort of a mated pair or something).

Odd that he's best bud's with our lawnmower blenny, he's the only other critter allowed near the sabae.

Default We all love our clarkii's... hmmm

Hey Sheila! :happy10: Nice to see you! Welcome! Just tell your better half that the clarkii disappeared while he was away on his vacation, and you have no idea where he went. The cleaning crew must have cleaned him up for you. When I was working in the tank yesterday, he bit me so many times! I had red marks all overmy hands and they stung! He'd hide behind MY rock scaping and use it against me...the little jerk. He almost found his way to the toilet, :pottytrain5: and it doesn't lead to the ocean when you live in the country!! He's going in the 180gl with the aggressives when Dakar gets it all put up!
Have a good evening! .......Angel :smt059
