    Default Captive GBM Clowns...

Hey everybody, I just wanna announce that I am a proud papa of about roughly 350 freshly hatched GBM Clowns. A good friend that has been having some increasingly good success raising his tomato clowns to healthy sizes came by and helped me to collect the fry as they hatched and is gonna put em up in his systems to raise(I will definitely remain in his debt). I'll keep you all posted.

    Repto :-D

What are GBM clowns? I'm sure thats a duh question yet again on my part, but I'm not afraid to ask them. I wanna see them. What in the world are you going to do with all those little darlings? I'm sure you'll have a ton of Utah reefers knocking on your door for some of them, and some sure fire store credit. Somehow I don't think us amatuer shippers have dared to send a fish to someone yet. I can't wait to see the picture Repto. Get that camera warmed up and Congratulations again on being a papa in the sea world!

Friggin' NASTY!!! The only prob I've had, though is when I try to set a frag near her territory, before the glue/epoxy sets... she literally picks up the piece and moves it to the other side of the tank. BTW, went to my buddy's house and saw the babies... all is well. We've lost some, but to be expected... he claims it's the best survival rate so far. We're estimating 50-75 fish ea after they're large enough to part with.

haha... What makes them such cranky fish anyway! Our "friendly" Clarkii's that we just passed along to 'Ewaitob', can now enjoy the challange of keeping his skin in one piece! He's given them their own beautiful tank all to themselves. They have it way to good now! All we can say is.... good luck Erik!!

This kinda makes me wonder who would survive.....the GBM or the Big B ? Please give ewaitob my condolences on his new fish, lol. I think a piranha would be a nicer fish than that clarkii. Never seen (or lost as much blood to) any fish as that one.

Erik, you were warned... I'm sure if you dig around on here you'll find more than one thread mentioning Big B and her temperment. BTW if you've seen those big gloves that go all they way up to your shoulder....she'll run like **** from them hee hee

I now this is probably a stupid question but, were there any other fish in the tank when they hatched and did you have to fight off the looters. how did you know there were eggs? I would be very upset if i didn't know and walked into a angel feeding frenzy in my tank.
Fisherman- I know i\'m the bad guy, But they taste so good. Hey, Conservationist as well, trying to help keep FL waters habitable.
