I just noticed yesterday that something is wrong with my Sailfin tang. He has been in QT for just under 13 weeks, and has delevoped what appear to be dark splotches on his abdomen, about 1/4 to 1/2 " in diameter on his abdomen. His fins have been a little frayed aswell, I assumed it was the 2 clowns that are picking on him a bit as they have become a little aggressive since in quarantine. They are the culprits as of now anyway. My newest addition to the Qt was a metallic goby, who was moved saturday because somebody ate his tail fin off, again assuming the clowns for this. Any ideas on what my fish has now?
Nothing stinging him. I separated the clowns and the tang with a piece of eggcrate. Tonight the spots werent as dark, and almost look like i see little teeth marks. I thought bruises aswell, but didn't know if clowns could do that much damage.
They have been in QT for that long waiting for the ich to die off in my DT. The clowns have been with him the whole time, along with my gramma and fairy wrasse. The sailfin is decent size about 4". The QT is a standard 20 gal. I know, but it's all I could get together during the ich outbreak. They have been living fairly happily the whole time, except the past week the clowns seem to be getting antsy.
The wrasse and gramma have been back in the DT a couple weeks now.
