clarkii is beating up my percula

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Your help would be most appreciated!!!!!!!!! My situation is I have a 29g with a false percula, 1 clarkii, 1 bta, 1 coral beauty, 1 regal tang and a algae blenny. Okay that said my two clowns were the first in the tank and have been best buds, until two weeks ago when I introduced the bta. The clarkii went right to it but the perc didnt seem to care. Now the Clarkii keeps the perc trapped in the bottom corner of the tank and if he moves the clarkii will beat him back to the corner. With that said do I need to make a decision for just one clown or is there another fix.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Think you are going to find keeping clowns of different species together will be difficult at best. As you have found out they tend to become very territorial and agressive. The tank size doesn't seem to matter, we'd tried the same combination in our 180g tank and even with 6 feet of water between them it didn't work out. We found new a new home for the Clarkiis.

Thank you, even though thats not the answer I was hoping for. If I take out the Clarkii (which is the choice to leave if I have too) will the false percula host the bta and can I get another false perc!!

Getting any clown to host with anything in particular is always hit or miss... there are combinations that are more frequent than others. Both true and false perc's can be funny critters, our true perc lives in a toadstool leather, colt coral, and green star polyps.

Introducing another perc is always a 50/50 shot, some say go a bit smaller than the existing resisdent, not sure how much truth there is to it...
