I'd just use a net or plastic specimen container. Tangs are quick, but shouldn't pose much of a problem for someone with patience. I also don't think I have heard of any tang nipping at corals. You have seen it nipping at them?

I had a Tang who just love to chew on my corals and liked my linetus wrasses enough to kill him, the thought crossed my mind about going fishing, I had to demo my tank to get him out! Next time I am using your idea! I'm getting out the old fishing pole!

I just used the 2 liter bottle to catch my problem fish, it was a large, quick damsel. I took a few tries, but finally got him. I think I caught most of the other fish a few times first, especially my bird wrasse, he's not a very bright fish, on the other hand he was the only one getting fed and he probably figured if I let him out the first time, I probably would everytime. Pretty smart fish actually! Good luck.
