it is time to unviel him, but you can only see part of him right now !! he rarely comes out of his bubbletip long enough to get a good full body pic !! and before anyone asks ... he is NOT a sebea clownfish !! i have done ALOT of research on this little guy and knew EXACTLY waht to look for to tell them apart. he IS an Allards !!

Nice Bobby.... you have everything, lol. Can you explain the differences in the 2 clowns? I've never heard of an Allards clown. I've never seen one either. With working in and "browsing" all of the LFS' around here I haven't even seen one available.

they are extremely rare !! so rare in fact that F&S can hardly ever get them, and they dont even list them on their site !! but here are a couple of links to compare the two ... notice the third stripe on the Allards, and the black extending down around the belly.

this is for the sebae clownfish ... http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...cfm?pCatId=151

and the allards clownfish ... http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/clo.../allardiclown/

oohh, thanks for explaining it. No wonder I have never seen one. You are lucky to have one. Do you by chance have a pair? It would be nice if you could raise them since they are so rare.

If you can find more you can raise the babies, sell them and buy more "stuff" like you of all people need more stuff. You are a sw fanatic. I swear we are all nuts. Must be something in the water. Too much salt kills the brain!! (kills the check book first )
