I voted 4 months, its hard to be patient when setting up a reef but it sure pays off.My most succesful tank so far was my old 40gal,I waited almost 5 months before introducing fish. The population of infauna(amphipods,mysis,worms,etc..)in this tank was very high.Often, people forget that pods are algae grazers. If you don't allow them to establish a population, you don't get the added benefit of all those algae grazers cleaning your rock.My 75 has been up and running now for about 8 weeks and its amazing the amount of pods in the tank. Its gonna be hard to hold out for another 2 months before adding fish but IMO,patience is the best approach.
