Yeppers, that's my pony there. Did you show that picture to Dave? He didn't tell me a thing. Now I know what to really look for when I'm looking for information. They've been good little buggers, but ya know...as they grow, I think I have all girls and one male. lol

Nope, not before just now :p

Great info Dave... thanks for going through the trouble of counting all those little details and actually identifying what each were... When I was reading some of the primary ID keys they didn't explain what/where each thing to be counted actually was.

/bows to the mighty pony dude

Now how do we stop spending hour upon hour of just watching these crazy critters and their playful antics?

    Question boys/girls??? What are they?

Sometimes I'm very certain that I know what I have, then I look again, and the don't give me any clues that tell me for sure what they all are. That's really frustrating. Help me out. What am I looking for, to tell the difference between my ponies?

Also I've noticed a brown coating on their upper back and head. Is this just algae to keep them from being sunburned. Our lighting is 130w PC. This info would ve very helpful on here. Thanks David! ....Angel :angel1:

Seahorses often grow algae on their backs. It's harmless. It's acutally quite beneficial as it protects them from bright lighting. They can get a sunburn. It also helps them to blend into their environment in the wild.
