BTW ... for those that dont know, it is a copperband butterfly
Chelmon rostratus
They are a staple favorite of reefers, being one of the few butterflyfish that tend to have better odds than 50/50 of not being voracious coral munchers... try a variety of different frozen foods, mysis shrimp and the like seem to be well taken, but find things he likes. They are known to help with aptasia as you had posted.
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
up until mine was eaten it lived very well on small spectrum pellets and a variety of prepared reef formulated frozen foods feed at least 2 times per day
well it is now official ... he eats aptasia !! there are still a few in the tank but 95% of them are gone. that is exactly what i was hoping for. it is mostly the small ones that are gone, butr i have noticed quite a few larger ones gone too !!
I have allways had copperbanded in my tanks, besides the fact they eat aptasia I think they are beautifull. I have never specifically fed them anything. I just feed the tank I have never seen mine eat when I feed the tank, mine just cruises around the rock work picking off critters and aptasia. As for the bigger aptasia mine does leave the larger ones alone but anytime there is a baby consider that sucker munched. it kind of works out good I have 3 aptasia about the size of a quarter in my 92 gallon and Ithink they keep the copperband periodically fed with babies.
