you just have to give it time. it took clown almost 6 months to host and all of a sudden I remember it perfectly. he swam by it and it barely touched it he turned around and gave it another little brush and then he dove right in. it was kinda cute

Isn't that the truth. We got Baxter (clown) along with his coral. It was a large leather that he literally slept in. He looked so in love with it when he finally hosted with it again. I say "again" because we wanted to purchase the leather from a friend, and he said only if we took Baxter too. Well of course we took both. We'd never take a fish away from his bed. When we got both home and put them in the tank, Baxter acted like he didn't know the leather anymore. It took him about 2-3 weeks to figure out that the leather was HIS!! Now he hosts with just about anything in the tank. He's tried them all, but he won't have anything to do with the Sebae in the tank that our prior clown used to live for. The Sebae may be a little intimidating since she's as big around as a large dinner plate or more! I fagged the leather, and gave one to my daughter for her tank and her 2 little tank raised baby clowns. They don't get it either! lol They are to busy playing with each other! Give your clown time. It will find something that suits it when he's darn good and ready! :angel5:

clowns are such funny little guys............... mine is like yours Angel. he mostly hosts in the xenia (I have got a HUGE forrest of it) but he will go over and host in my giant hairy mushrooms for a while and then go over to my ricordia and host in them for a bit I saw him trying to host in my kenya tree a couple of days ago. but my other clown in one of my other tanks is never more than 2 inches away from him anenome. its funny when I feed the tank mysis, the clown will go and get a mouth full of mysis and feed his anenome.
