    Default what is this

This afternoon my children noticed what looks like eggs on the mushroom and on other coral. I am attaching a picture. It is not great picture, round items are orange in color very small. The clown fish pair we have in the tank sometimes use these mushrooms as their host.
What is this? If it is eggs do we do something to protect them from the other fish in the tank?

Default It's those gammots again! :)

That's what it looks like! It looks like the same gammots you asked about in the other thread "What are these things, eggs perhaps?" You stated that your fish were munching on them, but if they become to much of a nuisance, you can always suck them out of the tank with a baster.

Ditto. Clown eggs are usually in a very tight cluster and mounted on a secure surface... my clowns are beginning to spawn every other week.

Repto....how did you baby clowns turn out? How many did you actually save? I don't know if you ever posted any pictures of them. If you did, I managed to miss them. Did you ever take pictures of the eggs from their spawning? I'm sure they are quite a bit different from the gammots shown in the picture that Speckles has shown on this thread. If you have any pics of those eggs Repto, we'd love to see them too!

The first batch was a bust... missed the next few by a day each... the last, I caught only a few and those were mixed with some other types of fry(possibly yellow clown gobies). We'll see soon enough. Thanks for asking.
