Hello! Renee & Angie, please listen with an open heart and mind to what I will attempt to say. Keep in mind, my tone on this situation is just trying my best to be kind and understanding. One thing I will say about the internet & forums is that you cannont tell what tone of voice people are making their statements in. I believe I stated that I love Seahorse.org, and here at CR we have nothing at all against you posting comments about their site. Feel free, and we insist that if you bring info to our site from the Org, we as Administrator's feel that any usage of their material be credited back to them. We follow this rule with any other sites as well. It's only right! Like I said, we are all on one or more sites for the same reason...to find out helpful information. If we can't find what we need in one place, we'll learn it from another and be the better for the knowledge we gain. I honestly didn't think I said anything meant to be offensive, but I apologize to you if you think that I did. Learning that Seahorse.org isn't a paid membership site, now I can go back there when I need more info when my favorite Forum Supervisor-DavidP isn't here to bail me out of a bind.
I truly believe you when you say that Marty is and excellent pathologist, that he is indeed. I believe I stated that he should come and visit CR sometime! We also have at our disposal in WI one of the finest Veterinary Hospitals that study these issues all the time as well. They are all extremely gifted people that can help us out when we are in need of factual advice relating to our marine pets & any of the other ones we all tend to have. Both my husband and I read everyone's replies about the Org not being paid mebership site, and we were surprised & glad to hear it! Now we can go back there and see if we've been missing anything that we need extra help on. I apologize for not being online a lot lately as I've honestly taken the time to give myself a break once in a while. Other times I may appear online but maybe working in the background building more new and hopefully exciting things for our little place on the net. I check my PM's daily (usally unless I'm not well), and e-mail as well. One thing we aren't is a competitive site. We are who we are....a growing knowledge based, family, friendly website for reefers who wish to come and visit, and maybe even stay for awhile. Please don't read negativity into posts. If you question one, and think you're being replied to rudely...PLEASE drop a note to the person you think is being rude. If that doesn't work, refer to the forum supervisor, Greg (Graphixx) or Jason (Reptoreef), and you may come to either Dakar or Me at any time. We're hands on Administrators and are more than happy to help where needed. More times than not, misunderstood statements can be explained. I'm also happy to call a member, so if you'd like to talk to me personally, PM me with a phone number & a good time to call and I'll be glad to meet you and chat for awhile.

I just learned that my post on Angie's myco pony situation has made Seahorsedreams feel that I was against her thoughts and ideas. I just read an apology letter from Angie for getting me involved. She really didn't get me involved so much as I attempted to look at both points of view and try to come up with hopefully a good outcome. Apparently I failed. Honestly, she never meant anything bad toward Seahorsedreams at all. She was just trying to make very clear that she was doing everything possible to make sure the myco was not spread. Her final decision on it all IMO was excellent, and the I think she did a great job coming to the most humane resolution. Renee....we want your advice and anything else you can lend the board here, so please don't just shut the door on a misunderstanding. If you get a chance, please PM me today so we can talk. I'd really appreciate it. We're all here for the greater good of reef keeping.

As for you Angie....I don't want you to lay low from the board either. You have been here since the very beginning of CR, and we want you to stay right here. There are so many people that have followed some of your heartbreaks, and have become close to you due to the situation. As for me, my 5 little friends :seahorse: are more than enough for me, and I'm so greatful that they decided that they were going to be happy healthy
ones! *knock wood*

Let's all just be happy that Angie is no longer crying of her 4 Erectus. They all have good homes that will not be breeding or selling them. I'm so happy this finally resolved for you Girl!

I hope with all this said, that we can all still be the friends we were and keep our focus on reefing. Everyone has their own approach to reefing, and there's not one of us here that can say another reefer ideas and practices are wrong. We all just need to help those along that ask for our advice, and all parties can agree to disagree, or just be grateful for other amazing ideas!

Everyone have a nice day!
.....Angel :angel1:

Nope.

Huh? Did I imply that? I've been very careful here of not mentioning the Org. But I felt stuck between a rock and a hard place. She was looking for answers and I knew a place that had dealt with this situation time and time again. If my answers weren't putting her at ease maybe she would find the answer to her plight if she had a bunch of different opinions. And she's a posting member there. Marty is familiar with her horse... he did the necropsy afterall and her horse has been discussed over there. I wouldn't have suggested it if she wasn't a member there already.

There is a pathology forum that is a paid for "feature". A lot of money has gone into the results posted there. It is the only forum that requires a paid membership... again I'm not recuiting, just clarifying.

I think I tried to impose to Angie multiple times that I understand how difficult this is.... remember I too went through the exact same plight a few months back. I never accused her of being rude. From dealing with multiple emergency threads I know how things can be taken when you are stressed. Same thing happened to me when mine got sick.

So, I think I will stay out of these conversations in the future.... as I tried to earlier in this thread.
