Too many tangs?

I have 90g thats been up and running about a year now. It was a slow process to change over from a FOWLR to a Reef and am slowly deciding on fish. I currently have a Blue hippo tang, Yellow tang, and a pair of true perc's. All fish are under 2" with the Yellow being the newest addition about a week ago. I am thinking about a Naso tang but was told that those 3 tangs would be too much for a 90g.

I would get a mate for one or the other, I think the issue would be more fighting than waste.

Keep in mind how big Nasos get...I have one in my 180 and he is nearly 12 inches and still growing. You could probably keep a medium sized individual for a few years in your tank with now issues from the other fish.

I was reading that some of these tangs are aggressive toward other (same) tangs. So That is why I was gonna mix it up. But I just read that the Naso requires 125+ tank. So I think that will be out of the question for now.

How fast do they grow? I plan to upgrade to a 180 but it will be atleast a year away.

If you got something around 3-4" you should be fine for at least a year or so. When it comes to nasos its best to get one at least 2-3 inches if not a tad bigger. Mines grown about 2 inches a year and wasnt always in a 180

A mate for either would mean certain death for the fish. You can combine tangs of different families with one of each species but multiples of the same species will kill each other unless your tank is huge and the fish are introduced all at once. Even then it is risky.
Waste is a consideration. Tangs are constant feeders and they poop alot.
