Default Guzzlo's new jbj 20 rimless

Hey everyone! This is my first build thread on here and one of my first posts as well. I've had my current tank, a 130 gallon, for around 3 years and have been reefing for around 10. My current tank is a full mixed reef, but over the last year had been swinging towards all sps with a few euphyllia species. My plans with the new tank is zoa and paly dominated with a few select acropora colonies (if the tank can support it). All the frags and colonies will be taken from my main tank.

    Tank stats
    20 gallon jbj rimless aio
    Custom built stand 24*24*40H
Standard return pump and spraybar that comes with it
    75 watt heater
    Evergrow d120 led lighting
Sponge filter (looking to switch to a filter sock but need to design it and do it still)
    Jebao rw4 pump

Currently not running any carbon, but I initially was when I first transferred everything over just in case the palys released any poison. I wanted to make sure things were under control in such a limited tank, but lately have been wondering if maybe it wouldn't hurt to run a small amount at all times. Thoughts/input?

I plan on stocking this tank with all the zoas and palys from my current tank and also adding 5-6 acros.

    15 lbs of live rock

    Inhabitants:
    5 Astrea snails

    Acropora:
    J Fox bonsai
    ora green millepora
    Unknown blue/purple

These are some of my most hardy acro frags taken from my 130 main sps tank. I'll be using them to "test the tank for capability to grow sps".
I doubt growth with be much with such a small system but time will tell

    Zoas/Palys:
    Sunny ds
    Utter chaos
    Cc ultimate chaos
    Johnny pumpkin seeds
    Cc raspberry limeades
    Wows
    Red,blue and purple hornets
    Armor of the gods
    God of war
    Pink kraks
    Gobstoppers
    Pink hippos
    Cc pink explosions
    JF acid reflux
    Tyree space monsters
    Black cherry people eaters
    Flaming suns
    ASD rainbow palys
    Rastas
    Neon green palys
    Pink and gold palys
    Captain America palys
    Jokers
    African blue zoas

My current feeding schedule is adding a small amount of rod's coral blend to the tank broadcast style once daily.
I dose 15 drops of vitamin c every other day.
I also feed rotifers and cyclopeeze sparingly.

Future plans include adding an ato, controller, and figuring out a couple small fish or interesting inverts. Also looking for a few more zoas and palys to add into growout.

WARNING: I don't take very good pics!!!

Here's a picture from day 1. I used water from my 130 and set the light at the same intensity as my display (80% blue and 40% white). I quickly learned this was still way too much and lowered it to 30b,white barely on. It's currently back to 80%blue,40% white. Lesson learned..

One of the other first things I learned with the tank, especially with keeping it bare bottom was that I was gonna need some live rock in there. I began working on a structure....

These were taken out of my refugium on my main display tank, but I still let it clean and cure in a 5g bucket for a couple weeks.

This is where I am at today

Looking good. Are you keeping the 130 and using this as a frag tank?

Yes! I plan on going all sps in my 130 and using the jbj20 for all z/p outside of a couple acros. Mixed reefs are great, but it's a little difficult keeping everything 100% healthy and happy

Any tank updates for us? I was just thinking about making your filter sock mod for the JBJ.
