Default thefishgirl - 180g display tank

This is my 180g display tank. It's acrylic with a custom made cabinet.

I run a no-name skimmer on it (which does a fantastic job!) and two 400w MH. It has a built in overflow. And.. i can't reach the bottom and have really tough time cleaning it! LOL

:p And Feeding Time--The puppies love the large Spectrum Pellets!

Very Nice. It looks like the same skimmer I have. That is one big Tang in your shot.

I just noticed that the whole front of the lower cabinet just detaches a gets out of the way. I have never seen that before, Mental note taken. What have you found to be the pros and cons?

LOVE that I can remove the whole door. Makes working down below a heck of a lot easier. Lots of room for ballasts and power strips. Also, during the summer, I can keep it off and just blow a fan in there if I don't want to run the A/C on those marginal days.

Probably the biggest con is that it leans against a wall in my living room most of the time. LOL I only put it on when I have company coming over.
It actually has 2 hooks on each end, top and bottom. There is enough play that if I want to, I can just swing it open on the one end. So that works really great. Of course, it's 6 ft long... so it needs some clearance if you're just swinging the one end out.

For the tank overall... I wish it were 18inches tall instead of 24. I'm short, so I have a hard time cleaning it. Because of this, I actually want to sell this set up so I can downsize it a bit. $650 for tank, stand, canopy, and sump if anyone's interested.

The shipping to me in FL probably cost more than the $650

How do you deal with evaporation with such a big tank? Wheel in the RO daily?

I do pretty much add water every couple of days.

And you'd be saving so much by buying this one, you could rent a u-haul and come pick it up. I'll even throw in a couple of frags! Generous, I know. LOL :D
