    That doesint look like a homemade stand, the canopy looks homemade! Bet you got that for a real steal. Good Luck and take your time.

    The stand/canopy works perfectly. Not complaining about them at all.

    I painted it flat black. Going to do brushed aluminum hardware on it.

    I've been looking at designs for stands with no center support, I might give one a try this summer.

    Actually I think you want it to travel through more times rather than stay longer. In my experience Chaeto grows better with a brisk tumble.

    Chaeto you definitely want it to tumble for maximum effectiveness, but other macro's you want it to go slowly thru the sump for the nutrient capture.
