    Default rpalt1's new obssesion

Hi all. I'm from Long Island N.Y. and was asked to post a pic by jim on this thread. My 29 gal running a reef octopus bh-1000ss skimmer, 1 korilla pump, a marineland hob filter with chemipure elite, and a corlife t5ho 4x31w fixture with 2 10,000k and 2 actinic water: amm 0, nitrite 0, ph 8.0 and the nitrates at 80-100 {hate api reading] I did a 10% w/c this past weekend and my duncan frag took exception to it but today its almost fully open. Just having trouble getting a handle on nitrates I had a reef about 6yrs ago and never had a nitrate level above 20. I'm thinking of putting together either a hob turf scrubber or a hob refugium to help. I had to switch from instant ocean regular salt to reef crystals and I think the change stressed my duncan frag. I also have a green BTA that was given to me, and it seems to be happy at the moment but I definately have to get nitrates down I thought about using nitra sorb until I get hob scrubber/fuge builtt Any help would be greatly appreciated Rich
