Default Bristle worms under my Clam?

I have my clam sitting on an empty clam shell. It works great but I've noticed the bristle worms taking up residents underneath. Actually I've seen them on the foot of the clam. I try and blow them off daily but they always return. Is this going to harm my clam in the long run? Are the worms eating on the foot?

I don't think they are eating the foot but it's a nice shelf for them to hide under. Blew them off daily and keep your clam happy. I wouldn't be happy with pickers in my foot. ;-)

Damn!! Cleaned out under the Clam and at least 20 BW's were taking up residents under it. This is what the bottom of the clam looks like and I'm worried

Seems like it's time to get a small twin spot hog fish or an arrow crab.

My tank is definitely to small for the Hog fish and not sure how the Arrow crab would work out with my Sexy's & Skunk shrimp :-/

Info on LA says an Arrow Crab has been known to eat shrimp & small fish.
