Carpet anemone's are great. They always have really nice colors and don't move as much as other anemone's. Don't worry about the different patterns of the anemone's size and shape. The onlything you should worry about is rapid color loss, and if it pukes is insides out (sorry couldn't think of a better discription). It is not uncommon for anemone's to change size and shape. They have wierd reactions when going though different light intensities. Some will take days to ajust and some will take months to adjust to your tank. It sounds like you are keeping it alive, and just try to shade it abit to let the anemone adjust. 130pc to 250 MH is a big step. It is like walking out from sunlight up here in WI, amd steping out in sun at the equator. Your eyes and body need time to adjust. It is the same with corals/inverts/ect...
These inverts also have a rought transition to. There path starts at the diver to the warehouse for about 24 hours. then packed and shipped to customs12-24 hours then to a wholesaler 3-6 hours later. After that they are shipped to your store 12-30 hours. So by thee time it gets to your store it has been through 3 rough acclimations in 3-7 days 3/4 of the time in no light. It really tells you how tough these fish, coral, ect.. are but also explains why 5%-25% of a shipment is DOA, and IMO why some stuff is really hard to keep.
