Default Does this look like a BTA split?

Ever since I got my first BTA she has stayed in the same place. Always happy, extended out of her little hole to show off, ate great, got mad on occasion when a hermit got close, but today she looked like this.

Her foot is still very well attached by the looks of it. I read that they will stay attached to one rock and stretch to another rock to split. I was curious if this seems like that? I am not sure exactly what brought this on though, I didn't have time to test my water levels, but everything else in the tank is doing great when I left.
The nice thing to know is that if I screw this up, I know what is for dinner.

I've never seen my BTA split, but sometimes mine kinda closes up like that before returning to normal.

Usually they retreat into the crevice that they hide their foot in when they split or dispell watse. To me it just looks like it is reaching for the light. They can stretch themselves very far. They also will deflate themselves and take in new water for their cell to reginerate, (kind of like taking a bath). This is very common. If it is not moving around alot, or not attaching then you could say that it is happy. When they split it is down the middle. Half going one way the other half usually stays in the origianl spot. Read about them splitting in the site I gave you earlier. Hope this helps

I did, that is why I asked if it looked like it may be trying to split, but I couldn't get a good look at it's mouth this morning.

It does look like it is deflateing some. Just keep an eye on it. Unfortuantly everytime mine has split I have been out of town. Like I said depending on any changes made to the tank as far a water parameter or heavy feeding it might just be deflating to take in new water. Keep us posted.
