I agree with Graffix....I think in the new 250gal. we are not gonna have any snail killers(hermits). However I do not have proof of this....never seen one kill a snail only see them wearing the spoils of war.(brand spanking new snail shell home!)

    Dang hitchhikers.....

We've tried running without them in the display tank.... just 300-350 snails and 4 large sea cukes and some stars.... the results were not what we'd hoped for, so we've been adding a few hermits here and there... unforutnately they do make a difference.

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Yeppers. i have a few hermits with nice snail shells on them! especially the red leg hermit. For some dumb reason i find that he is more aggressive than the normal blue leg hermits?! Odd. #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

yep your red leggers are the more aggresive of the 2 the blue legs are pretty mellow for the most part. But I agree with dakar, you have got to have some in a tank

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Thats luckey. I know for sure that one was made a meal by the red leg. Hopefully there will be no more on the menu.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
