You're not the only one that has bought one by accident. Seems you may have a muncher on your hands. Now you have to figure out what to do with him. Take him back to the LFS. When you bought him, did the person who got it out of the tank for you mention that if may eat fish? Any warnings? What a bummer! How many fish have you lost? ....Angel#ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT color=#00bf60 size=2#ed_cl##ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT color=#00bf60 size=2#ed_cl##ed_op#EM#ed_cl##ed_op#STRONG#ed_cl#O ne species in common use warrants a statutory warning. This is the Green Brittle Star of the genus Ophiarachna. This animal is a predatory fish eater, that does indeed do a spiffy janitorial job when small... but grows quickly, and under darkness of night can/does learn to eat aquarium fishes. This species has been documented to arch up in "sleeping caves" of captive fishes and drop down on unsuspecting meals. If you use this species, keep an eye on it, and a count on your piscine livestock. #ed_op#/STRONG#ed_cl##ed_op#/EM#ed_cl##ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT color=#00bf60#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT color=#ff007f size=2#ed_cl##ed_op#EM#ed_cl#Info collected from: #ed_op#/EM#ed_cl##ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#/FONT#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#A href="http://www.wetwebmedia.com/brittlestars.htm"#ed_cl##ed_op#FONT color=#ff007f size=2#ed_cl#http://www.wetwebmedia.com/brittlest...op#/DIV#ed_cl#
