Snails Eggs???

Okay here's a bit of ignorance on my part, we've got a few dozen cerith snails in our reef, the other morning I found one of them what I'm assuming was 'laying eggs', long squiggly line of stuff on the glass, but when went back to the tank after work it was gone. Assumed something snacked on it.... But alas we found another patch yesterday, this morning it is still there...

Now the Q's:
Are these what I think they are?
if so,
When these guys breed are the eggs already fertilized when left? meaning this string should contain viable baby snails, or are they awaiting feterilization now?
Should they be relocated to on of our refuges to grow safely?

How exciting huh... the reproduction of snailies...

Yes, they are snail eggs.

Ceriths are prolific breeders and need little to no attention to keep good populations in your tank. See some info below.

Thanks, guess if I hadn't felt lazy and googled it I would have found my answers pretty quickly.... At least we have a pic and some info for other folk posted now :D I'll just them be and watch, likely they'll end up a snack for our pair of 6-line wrasses.

We've litterly got serveral hundreds of itty bitty snails cruising around the tank and refuge now, I grab a dozen or so each morning now off the glass and move them to the new tanks just for fun.

I've seen the snails in our tanks spawn but never really paid any attention to if the eggs layed hatched. One day the water was all mikly and all the snails were at the top. Was pretty neat to watch and every now ant then we notice tiny baby snails.
Now if we could get the 3 stripe Damsel eggs to hatch out and the fry to survive we could make some $$! :-D Those 2 lay prolly a 5x5 inch patch of eggs on the glass at least 2x's a month! And to think they were freebies from my daughter's science class! Free food for the tank at least!

Aint it cool what you find in the reef! Everyday no matter how long you've had one you suddenly see somthing and say... "HEY WHAT IS THAT???????" :scratch:" Where did that come from?" 4 " WOW that is too ccol" :headbang: Then suddenly your wondering "Wait.. is this a good thing or a bad thing?" now paranoia sets in..""oh man what if it eats my coral/fish/inverts" :smt084 By now your freaking out until you realize "hey I bet some one in the forum knows!" :puter1: Quick to the computer (throw off child doing homework :book: ) and send out the :help3: ..... bite fingernails to the quick waiting for an answer.. :sad11: ..... then finaly there on your screen is and answer .... you open it up, your online budds have come through again, and begin to read.... :friends: " Cool what is that!!!!!????"! :DOH:
