Okay here's a bit of ignorance on my part, we've got a few dozen cerith snails in our reef, the other morning I found one of them what I'm assuming was 'laying eggs', long squiggly line of stuff on the glass, but when went back to the tank after work it was gone. Assumed something snacked on it.... But alas we found another patch yesterday, this morning it is still there...
Now the Q's:
Are these what I think they are?
if so,
When these guys breed are the eggs already fertilized when left? meaning this string should contain viable baby snails, or are they awaiting feterilization now?
Should they be relocated to on of our refuges to grow safely?
How exciting huh... the reproduction of snailies...
