    Default Peppermint

I am thinking of a peppermint shrimp to help control Aiptasia. I have tried Lime and burning them out, but it always seems a few more turn up in a few days, so I figured a shrimp ma work well for search and destroy.

The reference book I have indicates that they may eat small polyps. Dothese pose a threat to Zoanthids? I have just got my first frags of these, and they are far from well established.

Peppermint shrimp are hit and miss. they are opportunistic if they have food in the tank they will not eat the aptasia. if the picking are slim in the tank then yes they will eat the aptasia. I have never had them nip at any of my polyps. But if they decide to eat the aptasia then they are machines. they do a good job. I would think your polyps will be allright.

    Good luck :D

A lot of the time, pepermint shrimp will take over one small part of a tank and stay there. They may not even find the aptasia that you want him to find. but that is just my oppinion
