    Default anemone lighting

Would a double 36" strip light with 50/50 specialty bulbs on a 75 gal
tank be ok to keep a carpet, ritteri, saddle, or bubble anemone? Tell
me which ones would be ok and or not ok with the light fixture. If none
of them work, tell me the recommended light needed.#ed_op#br#ed_cl#

The bubble tipped require the least amount of light in the list you mention.However,2 strip lights wont be enough for even them.Think about getting some higher intensity flourescents like VHO,T5's,or PC's.A 4 bulb setup would be enough light to keep a bubble-tip and most corals as well. The carpet/ritteri's are reported to do better under MH lighting although there are some that have sucees keeping them under VHO's,T5's

How about a 48" double strip?

I would definately go with the 48" lights as most 75's are 4'.If your really want to use N.O. flourescents(strip lights)I'd use no less than 4 and drive them off of an electronic ballast like an IceCap.They burn much brighter on that ballast than on the cheap ballasts that strip lights have..You will also be able to upgrade to VHO's without having to change anything but the bulb(the endcaps are the same size,VHO and NO are T12's).IC ballasts will fire any flourescent(NO,VHO,T5,or PC) in any combination.
