    Default Sea slugs ?

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Hi, what do sea slugs eat, in general ? Are they all all algae feeders or filter feeders ? I saw a very cool pink slug, didn't know the name of the slug. The lady at the shop couldn't tell me, but told me they I had to feed them with the hatched artemia cyst ? Is this true ? #ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#shlim944#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#The pink slug you saw was most likely a nudibrach. You Do not wont these if your tank is a reef tank. There are some nudibrachs that eat all your coral!! there are also some that just feed on alge and aptasia. But no pink ones are like that (that i know of!)#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

your are probably looking at a nudibranch, they are very specific in what they eat depending on the species, they are not recommended. if you are looking to do one of these I would suggest a lettuece nudi, they are quite pretty and eat algae.

I think that people just associate the 2 together, if you look at them they are so similar in looks but other than that they are like night and day. I think this is something that often happens. I guess that is why these forums are here, to help all of us get the hang of this hobby. I know I have learned a thing or two on this forum. especially about lighting. I guess that is where I lack knowledge but I am beginning to see the LIGHT :D ha ha ha.
